You lot could re-create and paste the column as is, and then select a cell therein and run a macro similar to this.....just be sure to practice on a copy of your workbook.

Sub DeleteBlankRowsInActiveColumn()
ac = ActiveCell.Column
lr = Cells(Rows.Count, ActiveCell.Column).End(xlUp).Row
Range(Cells(1, ac), Cells(lr, air-conditioning)). _
SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks).Delete
End Sub

Hi,

It would have helped if you lot had told united states of america where these numbers offset and which column merely instead of paste try this and drag down.

=INDEX(A:A,(ROW(A1)-i)*vi+0)

this assumes your numbers start in A1 and are seperated past v rows. The +0 isn't necessary in this scenario simply I have included information technology in case your numbers outset in a different row, for example if they started in row (say) nine the formula would exist

=Alphabetize(A:A,(ROW(A1)-1)*6+9)

the *vi is the row seperation i.e. (number +5blanks)=half-dozen

Thanks Frank. That worked nicely. I didn't want to utilise a direct sort since in that location are columns of numbers that correspond to each other and some of them are negative and some positive and if I just sort then the negative and positive numbers get mixed.

Thanks again

The issue is that they don't all beginning at A1, and so the auto filter suggestion is the all-time selection. Thank you.

Here is another macro approach that you might detect easier to use. Simply select the cells in the column (blank cells and all), run the macro, select the jail cell yous want to re-create the parsed list to (when asked) and click OK.

Sub MoveAndCondense()
Dim CellValues Equally String, Destination Every bit Range
With WorksheetFunction
CellValues = .Trim(Join(.Transpose(Selection)))
Set Destination = Awarding.InputBox("Select jail cell to start copied list at.", Type:=eight)
Destination.Resize(UBound(Split(CellValues)) + 1) = .Transpose(Divide(CellValues))
Cease With
End Sub

Hi,

Permit's say your data is in range D1;D20 with the heading in row D1.  In A1, enter condition and in A2, enter =ISNUMBER(D2).  Get to Information > Filter > Avant-garde Filter > Copy to some other location.  Specify the listing range every bit D1:D20, criteria range as A1:A2.  In the copy to box, select a blank cell and click on OK

How-do-you-do,

I have a column of 10 numbers, each separated by five emtpy rows (cells). So they are every sixth row. I want to copy and paste them into another column but I want them to be sequent so there are no rows in between them. I've tried features of Paste Value but nothing does this.

Tin can this be done? Thank you.
